The Mysteries of Change are Upon Us

As we enter into this new year, lets consider some numerology. 2020 was the year of 4. Four is a number of foundation, last year was a year of ultimate foundational disrupt, the chrysalis of transformation. We were influenced to learn how to sit with ourselves in the dark cave of evolution. Forced to see things through a different perspective. Lifetimes of painful truths brought to a transparent awareness, radical and pragmatic energetic shifts of eye opening realities in the conscious waking mind projected on to us in an a la A Clockwork Orange cinematic experience. 2020, though incredibly challenging, was on the later an extremely potent gift to truly rebuild the foundation in which you were programmed with your whole life. It gave us all the opportunity to lean into the depths of ourselves and our souls mission. To sit in discomfort. And either choose growth through love and compassion or to stagnate and allow the strong influence of fear and hate drag us into depressive states of unrest.

What you choose to do from here on this night under this blanket of a dark star filled sky is up to you. 2021 the numerical year of 5 bring about change, forward motion, evolution of the subconscious awareness and transformation we all have the ability to tap into. Think about the 5 points of the star, creating a wheel, that wheel turns driving you along the path of your souls journey. It is your choice to drive it towards your destiny or sit and idle in the same surroundings motionless. The path is full of peaks and valleys, both of which aid into the yin and yang essence of one another. This year brings us opportunity to surrender into our divine cosmic contracts we agreed upon when we decided to come in to this physical form. This month especially brings about rapid fire acceleration of change. The Earths rotations is actually physically moving at a faster pace then we have ever experienced so time as we understand it is moving faster. Release the ego mind and shine awareness into the places that are binding you from living authentically in your power. Trust in yourself, trust in your guidance and most importantly trust in universal law. The gifts are plentiful when you choose to look at the glass half full perspective. Last year brought a lot to the surface, this year will evoke radical change, and that change all starts within yourself. Choose to see the beauty even in places its cloaked.

January into February are significantly influenced under the sign Aquarius. Aquarius teaches us to experiment without being afraid of making mistakes, to connect with like minds and learn from each other, to embrace the future with a sense of curiosity, and to release the unnecessary expectations and judgments we place on both ourselves and others. To understand the more wild and unorthodox mind. Perhaps being open to a different perspective or trajectory is what is necessary to align properly within this acceleration. More and more we are experiencing the waking up of humanity and seeing the glitches of conditioning crumbling. We are seeking deeper truths and learning to remain open minded, aware, and embrace positive change. It is pertinent to maintain the integrity of this grand awakening of self and of the world. With tonight’s new moon sitting in Capricorn which is “I use” we should expect matters like work, money, practical long-term goals and professional relationships to grab our attention. Capricorn is a cardinal earth sign, which means that it excels when it comes to setting intentions related to material gain and professional success. Capricorn a mythical sea goat, ruled by Saturn the karmic diplomat, shows us the strengths of uphill conquest to victory while paralleling the depths of the great mysteries of our flowing emotional waters. With such a fierce influence, it brings into keen awareness the tactful energies we choose to work with in this coming new year of change and ultimately our evolution as an individual and an entire race.

Tonight there are some planetary aspects that we'll need to navigate in order to make the most of this new moon energy. A sun-moon alignment with Pluto (the far out and intense planet of transformation), can bring about intensity and challenge when it comes to trying to conquer our goals and understand our focus more deeply. Pluto harnesses the ability of investigation, aids in uncovering secrets and get to the bottom of any mysteries. This is a time of gaining insight into hidden agendas. This new moon in Capricorn favors transformations and souls evolution. We’ve already entered into a higher plane of existence. Take a moment to reflect back on the past cycle of a year and ask yourself what your power is? We are breaking into the next phase of self evolution. The re-birthing process will lead to even greater self-reflection. To ultimate tapping into your super powers. And I don’t mean flying or telekinesis type shit, I mean what new part of self did you meet this year? Now apply that to this transformative change in Capricorn “I Use” and use it as you evoke your intentions tonight.

Into the Shadows

The darkness, the void, fear, pain, isolation... welcome to the shadow self. A place many of us keep at a distance safely locked away because we haven't quite understood the immensely powerful beauty it holds. I strongly support the tremendous transformative essence that is shadow work. So what is this mysterious, or perhaps intimidating space within our life's path? Let's hop into the void together...

Shadow work has shown me the most transparent parts of myself, held the key to my deepest healing, pushed my strength and forced my inner goddess to her fullest potential. Light illumination does not exist without the darkness cascading the background. The Shadow parts of ourselves are the parts of self we hide, repress, fear or have experienced great pain from. The more we hide away these 'unwanted' parts of self the more they become a character of our mind. Naturally we want to protect our most vulnerable aspects of self. However denying and not validating these aspects will eventually perpetuate in an uncontrolled conscious way. Resulting in painful and unintentional eruptions. When we finally decide to shake hands with these hidden away parts of self and accept this fate as a part of our story we relinquish the power these dark depths hold over us. It is within this space of deep introspection where we truly learn choice, we learn the most about our own reactive nature and we learn how to understand and accept all aspects of our journey. Does it at times feel paralyzing? Yes, absolutely. Does it at times start to become comfortable? Sure, being numb is easier then actually experiencing feeling. Does it feel so over bearing but you don't want to burden anyone else? Certainly, but I can undoubtedly assure you that you are not alone in these stories or feelings. IT IS OK TO NOT BE OK!

Great, now that we've walked the parallels of human experience and the hopeful realization that this is something we have all at some point in life experienced, some maybe much stronger and longer than others, but none the less we have all sat in the shadow space. You are not alone. Recognition, is the first step into understanding this pertinent experience of your spiritual growth. It took a long time for me to recognize how valuable these deep valleys of life really are. In fact, I used to play the victim mentality often... " Why is this happening to me?!" It wasn't until one of my mentors asked me "Well, what were the gifts in that experience" after I explained to her a very painful event in my life. That statement actually left me stunned and speechless.

The Gifts?

Well shit, I had never considered that perspective in otherwise considered tragic, dark, shadowlike experiences of life. But in my shock, I sat there in silence and realized how much that challenge actually granted me in my growth. I started to look to the positives, recognized my growth from within, the inner strength I was developing, the delicate compassion I began to have with myself. I started to realize I wasn't the victim, I wasn't the unworthy person I was starting to convince myself I was, I didn't have to continually inflict painful thoughts or actions to punish myself. That one moment completely slammed the breaks of my subconscious and flipped the switch of my conscious divine connection to the higher godly source of self.

Suddenly, I started to realize how important those months, even years of dark challenges were to my ultimate re-awakening of self. And there began the journey to heal and own that Shadow Self as an incredibly powerful part of my story. I would not be who I am today, not have made the connections I have made nor been standing here today creating this platform and relations with you all had I not learned the acceptance of these Shadow parts of self. Welcome to Scales of the Soul, a place where spiritual healing, mystical happenings, and astrological esoteric knowledge collide. Let me start with an introduction and back story. My name is Kelly, and Scales of the Soul is my gift to you.

The Journey

From my earliest of days, I shared a deep connection to other worldly realms and that which is unseen. I have always had a fascination with hidden truths and the cosmos. As a child I wasn't aware that my experiences were any different to the young soul next to mine, it was simply just a part of my existence. It wasn't until I was older that I realized it wasn't a normal occurrence to be floating over your parents bed while fast asleep in the other room, or seeing the colorful auras of those around you, or perhaps speaking with what I perceived to be earth walking humans whom no one else could actually physically see.

I was never shunned away or scared of these experiences, but as I realized this wasn't a common happening for most, I began to shut it off and distance myself from those connections. Throughout life I have always shared an innate infatuation with all aspects of spirituality, the occult, magickal practices, the cosmos, healing modalities and so forth. That connection remained consistent. However my will to communicate about it was rather stunted in fear of judgment, or not having anyone to properly understand or share in these gifts with. It wasn't until my later years that my connection was realigned and the doors of mysticism blasted back open leading me to share my story and gifts with you. So welcome, pour yourself a cup of tea and know that your path led you here for a reason. Let the healing begin.

I developed Scales of the Soul as a way to help others on their path to understand more deeply of the spiritual realm, how to heal themselves, work with the shadow self, and how to connect to the divine cosmos. When I was in my early twenties, I went through what I perceive now as an initiation, but in that time felt like the deepest darkest well I would never have the strength to crawl out of. It was what some of us know as the beginning of my 'Dark Night of the Soul'. "Heartbroken, shattered, fragile soul, depressed, anxiety ridden, dim, and lost" were among some of the words those closest to me illustrated my essence as in this time. I shut the world around me down, isolated and hoped I could just hit the mute button and it would all stop. I was lost and disconnected. It wasn't until I surrendered to spirit and realized I ultimately held the key to my journey that I began healing. I made some truly life altering connections in the darkest of my shadow work days which is why I believe that shadow work truly holds the most light if you are willing to put one foot in front of the other and just simply begin.

So I did just that, I began my healing journey and reconnected to spirit. It started with a retreat, a reawakening of sorts. Shortly after I was lead to the foundation of Shamanic Studies where I studied Core Shamanism for 6 years eventually leading me to become a certified Shamanic practitioner. Some of the most self challenging work I had ever walked through happened through these years. The honor, respect, knowledge and love I share with my helping spirits is invaluable. Shamanism is one of the oldest and most sacred healing modalities; working through altered states of consciousness with compassionate helping spirits to restore harmony and balance within a soul. I have had much success in miraculous healings of mind, physical body and soul through this work and would love to share my gifts with you. If this resonates with you, you are in the right place. Along with Shamanic healing, I am also deeply connected to my cards and the cosmos. I share a unique relationship and reading style with my cards.
